It's gonna be weird when we have to try and explain the history of facism in the United States and then we get to the section where a guy who made pillows tried to overthrow democracy

The struggle against fascism is ongoing and uncertain. How weird pillow man is remembered is going to depend on who control the history books in coming decades...

Imo fascism is an unsustainable model and always destined to die, the part that creates urgency is we don't know WHEN it will die and we need to try to make that soon rather than decades from now

Franco's fascism in Spain lasted quite a while. Great, emphasis must be put on preventing their rise to power in the US/CA. Clumsy/hateful dictatorships do tend to eventually collapse, but unspeakable harm can occur in between the rise/fall of any particular fascist regime.

All I'm saying is one day, we don't know when, Pillow Guy is gonna be remembered this way. Don't think we need to get argumentative about stuff we clearly mostly or entirely agree about when this was just me poking fun at the grim state of reality.

Let's frame this more as a conversation than an argument. Certainly arguing wasn't how communication was intended on this end of things...
