Good question thread. RCV doesn't use all the data on a ballot. For instance, say a voter supports your CNP candidate and D. In RCV if they choose to support D first and CNP 2nd and the CNP candidate is eliminated first we will never know how much support CNP actually had. (1/6)

This is because of the elimination process or the 50% threshold rule RCV has. True preferences aren't transparent because RCV will only use the data from your current top choice for every round if they aren't eliminated which buries minor parties true support. (2/6)
