To be honest, I didn't really get what the red-brown alliance meant in practice until very recently. If you drill down into the differences between that & Fred Hampton's Rainbow Coalition, you see that economic solidarity. Solidarity means care without animus, i.e. not red-brown.

And of course, we as the left pay way too much attention to wealthy people who've forgotten what it means to exist in a world with people who think our views are so odious that we shouldn't exist. Wealthy people too busy publicly fighting with other wealthy people to get it.
