We need a viable second party in California. As long as Dems know they are safe no matter how badly they govern... they will continue to govern badly.

I don't think we're going to agree on policy very much. California is not really "over taxed." We have really strange and distorting property taxes that mean we do not overall tax land at the rate we should, and so instead we have high income taxes and all kinds of other taxes.

Californians want a high level of services from their government, and so instead of reforming our property taxes, local and state governments find increasingly elaborate ways to tax and create fees. Are you all going to be for Prop 13 reform?
