Just heard about an R poll where a longtime House R incumbent is up just 46%-39% vs. a Dem who trailed ~50-to-1 in cash in the last FEC report & gets no attention. Guys, there are going to be some surprises on Election Night.
Keep your eye on MI-2. Internals look good. COH is solid. Up on TV. Debate coming on 10/15. Incumbent is unpopular with his base. The Michigan Blue Wave is coming out of Lake Michigan.
Data from the doors is convincing. Huizenga voters see him as a Washington insider feeding at the corporate trough. Could use some help here, but we’re doing just fine. Raised over $500k last quarter. Up on TV stronger than him. But he has an awful lot of billboards.
Coming out of Lake Michigan? First to be hit would be the rock-ribbed Republican Dutch Protestant counties that border the lake. I'll believe it when I see it. Been a long time since Richard VanderVeen! I hope your prediction is accurate.
Michigan is as disgusted by "politics as usual"/Heizenga's cosy & questionable relationship w/big banks & PACs while tossing false lip service to small business as the rest of the country. Michigan CARES about other people & about honesty. #VoteBlue b/c we're better than this.
Would love to see that wave continue all the way up the lakeshore and include MI-01. @MorganForMI has the enthusiasm (30,000 primary write in votes) we just need everyone to show up on Election Day!
