It's also time to formally study what has happened in our society that makes mass murder the response of choice for some people. It was easier to buy a gun 50 years ago, but mass murder hadn't become "a thing" until the 1990s. Supply-side restrictions alone are rarely effective.

I think it may have something to do with the increase in diagnoses of ADD/ADHD which led to the overprescibing of Ritalin etc (which is basically speed) people talk about the opioid crisis but it's more than that, it's the "throw a pill at it" mentality
