Coming from a low income background gives me a perspective to advocate for the middle and working class. And to provide opportunities for the betterment these families or as was my case betterment of their children.

COVID 19 affects working class families differently. My family is part of the now called "essential workers" that they have always been. They can't work from home and not working is not an option. Yet they provide our food, services, and retail.

My father always reminds me no one is going to pay his food or diabetes medicine or car insurance. He doesn't complain, he just works more. He taught to work and work harder. He is a humble but proud man. He makes me stronger and most importantly resilient.
