The concern some have is that public school kids will be displaced and not play certain sports because we have a larger pool of kids if we include home schooled kids.

However, each student has to perform well in order to get placed on any given team so it doesn’t matter if they are home schooled or go to public school.

An amendment was proposed to allow school systems to individually decide if they want to include home schooled kids in their extracurricular activities. The amendment was defeated because people are worried about complaints b/c school systems will be treating students different.
