Tomorrow is the day we put my cat down, and I say goodbye. She chose me as her human when I was eleven years old, and she’s been my rock ever since. It doesn’t feel real.

2 weeks ago I had to do that with my dog of 14 years. The first few days are the hardest. It gets easier after that. It was a very peaceful and sad experience but I hold on to the fact that it was a blessing he was in my life to begin with. Focus on the positive memories!
