I flew from Columbus to Charlotte to Seattle on American Airlines yesterday Flight 1: had to tell the guy sitting across the aisle to put his mask on. He was holding a cup of water and using that as an excuse to keep his mask off He said “I’m drinking” I said “no you’re not

you’re holding the cup” We went back and forth and I got loud and said “please put your mask on for my safety. For MY safety.” Eventually he did The flight attendant thanked me and said she had filed a report Flight 2: I was in the back row. Had to tell the guy in the seat

right NEXT to me to put his mask on. He did then turned his music up real loud and sulked. Ok Saw 7 people in direct eyeshot of me with masks on but not over their noses Went to the attendant and asked if she would tell people. She did an aisle walk and all down the plane

she had to tell people “over your nose” I witnessed the same people over and over take their mask down off their nose as soon as she had passed by. The other 2 attendants walked past people repeatedly and did not correct their mask wearing Halfway through the 5 hour flight

a guy in the same row but across the aisle just decided to take his off I had to tell him, again loudly, to put his mask on for everyone’s safety. He did, but still kept pulling it down off his nose, as did his girlfriend The kicker: the woman in front of me, also wearing

incorrectly, repeatedly after being asked multiple times by the attendant. I asked her to wear correctly She said “who the fuck are you, the mask police?” I said “yes, yes I am, my job is to keep myself safe from people like yourself” She proceeded to yell and curse at me

I said “whatever ma’am just wear your mask right, I didn’t get on this plane expecting a Trump superspreader event” Anyway, this did NOT happen when I flew @AlaskaAir to Washington DC last month. Their attendants were extremely attentive to proper masking I don’t blame the
