I signed up to be a poll worker for the general election and wanted to share my experience for the training. If I had to summarize it in one word, I’d say it was “bizarre.” A thread

I was initially given a training location 6 miles away. I biked out there and arrived at the training location which was a locked & closed building. Nobody answered the door, and I didn’t get in. I was marked as a “no show.”

I called the BOE after to tell them they sent me to a closed building and they said “oh that happens.” They didn’t know when there would be more trainings so they said to just keep calling back. A few calls later I was told there was a training literally down the block from me.
