I don't think that works. The jobs guarantee would only provide a real alternative to low-wage unskilled labor positions. Most of those have a known pay rate often keyed to the minimum wage. It's middle class jobs and up that require negotiation with specialized skills.

I don't see how any of that is relevant to the above. In terms of wage inflation, you should recognize that even though you may benefit low skilled labor overall with more redistributed wealth directed at them, rises in consumer good prices would offset some of that.

Looking more globally, federal jobs would (1) cost a lot, and (2) necessarily compete against the private market and similar low-wage jobs. This puts a lot of faith in federal jobs being actually productive, which is a highly dubious proposition. Society would be poorer.
