That's why I was grateful that several women were running for President this year. That's so I could reject a female candidate without feeling guilty that I was rejecting the only one in the race.

Look in NY-14 D primary this year: AOC was challenged by two women, MCC and Badrun Khan. Her remaining D male challenger, Sam Sloan, barely registered.

AOC and MCC are a close match in identity -- white-looking Caribbean Latin American women -- though they are far apart in economics-related issues.

I think it stems from a view of progress that is purely representative. Where the goal is to have diversity at the top, but still doing the same shit white men have in this country for four centuries. To them, Jeanine Áñez is progress.
