As you, it's part of a wider cycle of violence rooted in gaslighting across society, both overt and subtle. Movies and TV are so toxic in respect to misogyny. I heard a guy complain he can't make his debasing jokes anymore. As if it was an injustice against him.
This isn’t necessarily in response to any one particular situation. In fact, sadly it’s about countless situations. How many women have to come forward and corroborate a story before they’re believed? Misogyny. It’s real, and not enough people call it what it is.
