My question is why doesn't the professional landlords class seem to care? It's part of a larger pattern of behavior we're seeing top to bottom that I am having a hell of a time wrapping my head around. I am trying to "get" the profit incentive re. mass evictions/high vacancies.
This group + billionaires + major corporations are who gets help from the government if anything crumbles. They know they have a safety net. We don’t

The scenario that comes to my mind is what the owner of our local SRO is doing. He's kicking out/buying off tenants (SROs are rent stabilized) to make room for more shelter space because he gets more money hosting a shelter than operating a SRO.
