It’s been one week since @_michaelbrooks passed away and I’ve been thinking a lot. One of my most recurring thoughts is that *the* most valuable thing any of us can give to anyone, or to any movement, is our time.

He had a finite amount of time to spread his message and thoughts, but the truth is we all do. I gave 1.5 years of my life running for
#NY12 and I have zero regrets (only things I’d do better!) because we helped change the narrative and are still fighting for our neighbors!Afficher cette discussion
Time matters more than money. Time matters more than power. It doesn’t matter if you’re a citizen or resident or rich or poor. While we are alive, we all have time. And together when we fight, we are unstoppable.

I agree wholeheartedly. It’s easy to put money in/donate (if you have the money that is). But a lot of people have less time than they do money. So when they do give their time, it’s something to never take advantage of. Be grateful. Appreciate and embrace it
