I really want to talk about what it was like to run for Congress with severe anxiety, because I want you to know you can do *anything*. Together, we can do anything, INCLUDING changing the path of our country.

In the last few weeks of the race I was battling a stomach ulcer from the stress and bit through my mouth guard from clenching my jaw at night. I am finally starting to feel holistically healthier and am recovering from the worst of the stress.

The thing is, even the people closest to me said they couldn’t tell when I was stressed, but figured I was because of the race. One trait I have is hiding it all with a smile which I something I am actively working on. It’s also why I absolutely need mental healthcare.

I say this because I know a lot of other people suffering from mental illness hide it pretty well too. I try to approach others with compassion knowing they may be battling something I am totally unaware of.

TLDR, anxiety sucks but I fuckin did it. I’m gonna take care of myself and get really strong for the next steps in my fight
