. Our country was built on stolen land by stolen people. Our society was built on white supremacy. I’m thankful to my mentor @RevJacquiLewis for her classes and teachings that have helped to enlighten me on the systemic racism. THREAD
To change it we need to rebuild many parts of our society. Defund the police and use that money instead to help communities of color. Federally fund education based on # of students rather than wealth of zip codes. Guarantee DECENT housing for every single person in this country.

Break up big banks that have preyed on and profited from the oppression of communities of color and push for public banking. Force pay transparency at places of employment so we can close the wage gaps.

End the war on drugs and legalize cannabis which has been used as a tool to mass incarcerate communities of color. Abolish bail and for-profit prisons. Enact Medicare For-All and end healthcare discrimination. And electeds must use their platform to PUSH anti-racist conversations
