Defunding the police does NOT mean lawlessness. It means not handing the police a huge budget, military weapons and equipment, and sending them to train on violent techniques in other countries. Instead, we can use that money on restorative justice, mental healthcare, education.

Defunding means no funds to pay the salaries of these officers. It will cause lay-offs of officers &other personnel in the dept. Less cops on the streets response to domestic violence, hit n runs, murders will increase. crime rate & death will increase even more than it is now.

You are describing the way some leaders will react, and that’s what we are affraid of, that’s what they normally do: Affect the people so the people decist on pushing for whats right and beneficial for the working class.
