Reminder for white/white-passing people- I love seeing you support these protests, but just remember these protests are not for or about you. Go as an ally. Stand closest to the cops. You’re there as a shield. You don’t escalate, vandalize or destruct. You’re there to support.

Do you think these protests deserve to be about much more and for many more of us? Do you think the plight of the Black Person isn't part of the same corruption the has been hurting and killing many others to support the same greed and power held by those at the top?
No, police brutality against black people is not comparable to anything we experience. And we shouldn’t need it to be to care and be involved in the movement exactly as it is.

I think a miscommunication is occurring here. I was not implying that we need such a reason to care about or be involved in that specific movement. My questions & thought process are focused on this being a symptom of a larger disease & how we should all come together to fight.

1/2 It is all part of the same thing, but intersectionality is still a real thing. Sometimes we need to look at the intersections between oppressors though. The police often include organized white supremacist gangs with powerful influence in the department.

2/2 The police also serve to protect the property of corporate landlords. The specifically terrorize the working class for the boss. White supremacy means Black people are more likely to be working class. The police are the intersection between white supremacy and capitalism.
