I watched my father die a pretty miserable death in this healthcare system. I listened to my mother telling me about being told after surgery that his insurance wouldn't cover his stay. He drove himself an hour home. Died a few months later. Makes my blood boil every day.

nobody should have to think about what’s covered in a medical emergency, or ever
