About five years ago, I heard something snap in my back when I was trying to help my bedridden father reposition himself in his bed. Went to urgent care (didn't have insurance at the time) and they said my discs were not perfect, but ok. Nov 2016 walking home from work 1/

I couldn't feel my left foot and couldn't walk a few blocks away from my apt. I made it home and was able to make an appointment with my doctor. Early 2017 saw my doctor and insurance company said i needed to pay $2500 in physical therapy (would've taken me to the end of the year

) Before they paid for an MRI. That would've carried over to the next year and I would've had to pay again before getting an mri. I simply could not afford it, despite working for Chase. My hip still really hurts from time to time. 3/

My case is tepid in comparison to many others, but I am currently unemployed thanks to my job being outsourced to Texas and Bengalaru. But sometimes I'm in extreme pain and can't do anything about it.

There are a ton of people in worse situations than I am. I'm thankfully comfortable right now, but there are so many people that need help right now and I think Lauren is the right vote for our community.
