A lot of politicians discount social media because you don’t know who you’re talking to, which I believe is a mistake. I can’t tell you how many times I’m calling voters in my district and they stop me to say “I follow you on Twitter! Keep up the fight!”

I'm usually more invested in the silent observers who may learn something if I stand up for some issue or principle rather than the a anonymous troll I might be sparring with.

I looked up the incumbent in your district on Open Secrets and her top contributor was NASDAQ. I find it interesting that politicians think selling out to Wall Street makes you serious, but connecting with voters and real people online makes you “unserious”
