Can we all agree that it makes no sense that our elected officials can own stocks?
Right on. We are releasing a policy requiring all federal representatives to place their investments into a blind trust!

This is more reasonable than banning ownership of investments outright.

I'm ok with both, but prefer banning public officials from own stock more.

Obviously they know what’s in the trust before they go into office, though, and could still take actions that would benefit their portfolio once they’re out of office. I think the only reasonable answer is a ban on individual stocks.
