Lauren, what about the non-corporate landlords who depend on rental income to live on? Many of them are older citizens at higher risk. How does canceled rent solve the problem when it just transfers the loss from one citizen to another? Your canceled rent plan is too simplistic.

I read it. I support $2,000 p/mo (or more) payments to all adults; disallow evictions. Landlords can work with their tenants who can’t pay. Support checks received by landlords can offset rent loss. Money rec’d by tenants can partly go towards rent.
