You need to flee that overpriced city ASAP. NYC is a rip-off. Rent, utilities, entertainment, everything there costs 5 times more there than anywhere else in the country. And for what? The convenience of not owning a car and walking to the grocery store? Not a good trade off.

People- I was not complaining about the size of my kitchen. Was there anything in my tweet that suggested otherwise? We choose where we want to live based on many factors. NYC, to me, is not merely a symbol, it is home. With deep roots and among family.

I wasn’t criticizing you for living there, just angry at the price gouging of city life. As part of the bridge & tunnel crowd, I still work in NYC but I was priced out of living there a long time ago. I guess we all pay one way or another, either in money or time commuting.

Sorry if I was gruff. On other tweets, my kitchen pics wound up being used as parody (weird) and on other tweets painted me as part of the “privileged class” for living in NYC. My apt is rent stabilized. I still pay more than most outside the City but I’ve somehow made it work.
