New York needs the most help out of anywhere.
What I can’t stand about means testing is it is purposely excludes cities like New York from help. $1200 doesn’t cover @&$% here. $75k or even $100k cutoffs exclude many who are struggling to pay rent and put kids through college. New Yorkers need help.

I applied for unemployment 3 weeks ago and still haven't received a penny cause theyre still processing it. In Canada you just fill out an application and automatically get the money like 2-3 days later. The system is so broke here I can't even believe how people aren't rioting.

How i feel living here in Orange County, CA where $100k is living right at the low-income/middle class line! $1200 is a 1/3 of monthly rents if you are lucky!

Lauren.. been trying to figure this out: An unemployed person is eligible for a 1,200 stimulus check, Regular unemployment benefits (avg $385 per week for 39 weeks) and an Extra $600 per week for 16 weeks. 13K for next 3 months. Are most ppl not qualified for unemployment?

It’s based on how much you’ve earned in 2018 or 2019 tax returns, not on current circumstances
