Maybe left-wing voters listened when @JoeBiden said “nothing will fundamentally change.”
And maybe that gave us pause b/c we know if nothing changes millions will keep struggling.
And maybe that’s why we’re pushing Biden. It doesn’t mean we want Trump.
IT MEANS WE WANT BETTER.
It’s sad to me that #MedicareForAll is a political issue at all. If he accepted it into his platform that battle would be over and he’d win over many lefty voters. It’s pretty simple.

but why doesn't it? polling has consistently shown that a majority of americans favor single payer healthcare. if reps actually listened to their constituents instead of kowtowing to their donors, m4a would be law already

To win me over he'd have to go back in time and un-assault Tara Reade. He'd have to stop groping and grabbing women in general. And then also support M4A and a living wage. That's a lot, I don't think he's up for it.

If you look at GOP's aversion to national healthcare, you can see it's simpler than "in the pocket of insurance and big pharma". It's purely ideological. He just doesn't think the govt should replace the private sector (he's wrong).
