This isn’t Republican vs. Democrat. This is have vs. have not. This is “I have health insurance through my employer, so get a job” right in the middle of an economic crisis. This is “Whoops just sold $20mil in stocks based on non-public information” vs. the rest of us.
They don’t want employed to be able to leave and still have benefits.

Yup. It’s about power and control. Businesses seek money, as a means to that ends, but tying “benefits” to themselves is also a means to those same ends. So is supporting conservative politics. So are nearly all those pointless corporate workplace rules.
