Telling my Canadian coworkers about having to go to a 4 hour meeting to pick between confusing insurance plans and bringing my calculator was embarrassing. When I came back and told them I just lost pay because premiums went up they were just shocked we allow this.

Americans would love to have single payer healthcare just like the one Canadians have enjoyed since the mid 1960's. And they surely would have it by now if not for the insurmountable problem that it costs half as much.
