Ubi is better
Just your daily reminder that if we had a #FederalJobsGuarantee, we wouldn’t need to be legislating how to get people paid amidst this crisis.
We would simply be guaranteed jobs and pay, even under conditions of social distancing.
This is not the last crisis we will face.

We are literally ordering people to stay home. Jobs aren't the solution. Income is. A JG also ignores all unpaid work and lots of people have forms of employment that an ableist JG would never include. A jobs program could be useful to get out of recession, but not right now.

They dont understand that the entire basis that underlies MMT is that productive work does get done. Their FJG can't deficit spend 15/hr for no work without inflation. Or they don't understand the difference between salary and hourly. I mean hey they are Sandernistas.

yes & no. some of the federal jobs programs we would really need right now. the NO part is for the jobs we couldn't be doing right now. That is when a UBI would be extremely important. the other details I will leave alone. UBI is something that is becoming more obvious
