Why don’t I see that type of anger when I talk about children being in cages, for example?

One thing I just can’t understand is why the thought of everyone having healthcare coverage can possibly generate so much anger. The only other thing that causes immediate spewing of hate is when I call to abolish billionaires.

What’s sad to me is that streams of propaganda like Fox News and billionaires themselves have done so much damage to our society. Somehow they have done a brilliant job of getting people to fight against their best interests.

abolish billionaires?? why put an arbitrary cap on success? remember when Bernie Sanders attacked “millionaires” until he became one?

This is what I mean. If you see becoming a billionaire as success, then propaganda has done its job.

The GOP has made people think Medicare for all is going to make their Healthcare worse somehow. I don't understand it either. If we repeal the current tax cut there would be plenty of money to cover it. Medicare is much better than most health plans.

It’s accomplishing it’s tasks tho. Big donors pay politicians to do favors for them. We need to end the systemic corruption before we can accurately judge how well the government is working for the people.

Some billionaires will make bank on MCFA. Here in Seattle an insurance co bought a large medical provider. With MCFA people will finally get the treatments we need. Sure, some insurance CEO’s will need new jobs. But the medical field will flourish. The CEO’s can find new jobs.

It’s useful to remember that it’s not just about money. A lot of people would prefer that poor, POC, and other disenfranchised people don’t have good healthcare to keep their numbers down. It’s hard to believe, but for a lot of people, bad healthcare is population control.

Yes, a matter of population control and resentment/bigotry. Very sad because it ensures that people of all backgrounds suffer more.
