My family member put off going to the doctor for stomach pains for over one week because he was afraid of paying out his deductible. At the ER they told him if he waited one more day he would have died. His intestine was completely blocked. #SinglePayer #MedicareForAll now!

My grandfather died two days before my wedding due to intestinal rupture. Insurance didn’t want to pay for another scan - ordered by the doctors - due to the stomach complaints. That was back in 2005.

I absolutely cannot imagine taking the time to laugh at someone almost dying from an intestinal tumor. Bernie’s base is so strong because we stand for compassion and empathy for others. But it’s also why it scares those opposed to Bernie.
