A hospital company wants to boost profits by cutting costs and they think the best way to cut costs is to downsize available services for patients, their families, and visitors? Does anyone realize how insane that sounds?

It is just painfully obvious and I don’t know how it even made it this far.

For profit health care will go the way of the horse and buggy and be replaced with a National Health Care system. That being said, the new system must have service levels high enough to meet all patient needs, and at the same time keep doctors from becoming investment bankers.

Sinai has already gotten rid of psychologists and many psychiatrists on their inpatient units, and gotten rid of inpatient units completely in some of their hospitals.
