I expect courses will look into what caused this movement. Among the reasons is the fact that politicians in the GOP *AND* Democratic Party have accepted PAC and lobby $$ and prioritized that over the best interests of the humans they sought to represent.

I mean can you imagine voting FOR war after taking defense contractor money? Voting against common sense gun safety because you get NRA money? Being complicit with gentrification and homelessness because you take big real estate money?

Now imagine the next lesson of that class is about the action that changed how our politics work. Representatives represented people, not profit, because the people united, voted, and protested the status quo. People said enough is enough. That lesson would be about YOUR actions.
