As many of us celebrate the holidays in the warmth of a home, please do not forget that there are so many people who are hungry, cold, and/or in cages because our government does not see us all as equals. Yet.

This is my first Christmas housed after a 3-year stint of homelessness ended in May. Homeless people need to be a protected demographic.
