significantly diminished ER near the 16th Street building and relocating Beth Israel's behavioral health programs into the former Rivington House nursing home on the Lower East Side. You see, we keep allowing cost cuts to increase profit and decrease our quality of life.

I stand with PALM and members of my district in asking for our community to have the care it deserves, and please stay tuned as I will share news on this topic and hope to rally together to save lives

This is actually standard practice consolidation. This is why the government should own a stake or outright own utilities, healthcare, and other public services. They should not be for profit.

Also keep in mind that they 'budget' for pushback and protests by the community. It's all part of risk assessment. This is why we need progressives to unseat the corporate goons in congress and outlaw corporate or corporate adjacent influence in legislation.
