Cool, now the insurance company is saying they can’t give me coverage because someone with my social security number (who isn’t me) already has coverage in the system. #ThisIsAmerica

The person has a different name that they provided me... so I don’t actually think so although I did all the protections in case. I think someone typed in another persons SSN wrong and it’s yet another excuse to not give me coverage. My guess.

Identity theft sucks. I had it happen. Didn't steal my debt though, just the other benefits of a SS number; like healthcare, cable, phone... Left me the school debt and horrible credit card score. I mean, at least take it all if you're gonna take it.

Holy cow, contact the 3 credit reporting agencies online and obtain a free copy of your credit report to insure all the information is accurate and that you are not a victim of credit fraud. Good luck and best wishes.

They have made our retirements and insurance incredibly hard to figure out, and almost impossible to get back in the end. We are just pouring money into a system that makes the rich richer, while they blame us for being "lazy"

She had to tag them on blast in this thread to get them to talk to her again and admit she doesn't have insurance. It's sad.
