I buried one of my best friends of over 55 years this week... He worked as a lineman for the phone company & all of those years up in that bucket got him a little too much sun... The Squamous cell carcinoma of the skin had spread to his lymph nodes before detection...

Ironically the very day I found out he was dying, I was on my way to the dermatologist to have some precancerous areas on my face & ears sprayed with liquid nitrogen. I worked outside most of my life, as well as spending a lot of time on my boat, so I knew I should get checked...

You know if you are at risk so please get checked. The skin exam is quick & painless... I’ll even say the liquid Nitrogen Spraying was uncomfortable at moments and that was all. It was quick so it was done about the moment you felt the discomfort...

Now I’m going to get into the worst part of my friend’s death... This is the truly barbaric part, and it comes with a warning... The day my friend died... His widow lost her health insurance coverage...

So... As I ask politicians their position on #MedicareForAll I want you to know I sincerely hope for their safety they have the ‘Right Answer’ because there is no more Mr Nice Guy left in me... I’m done playing around...

I’m not needing hugs and condolences, my friend is in the right place suffering no more... What I am looking for people ready to crack skulls for the end to the barbaric healthcare system we currently have...
