People have been misled to believe for literally centuries that they only have the rights they're given by those in power. It's a weapon they can use against us.
BUT doesn’t hurt to have it written into federal law given who sits on the Supreme Court and in the White House.

Donald Trump is not monarch for life. And if you read up on the history of SCOTUS you'll discover they've interpreted the Constitution to suit the powers that be since day one. As witness corporate personhood. And essentially unlimited police power.

What you mentioned about the Supreme Court is exactly why I want the ERA ratified. And keep in mind Donald trump is a symptom not the problem. Getting him out of office does not mean the underlying problem is resolved.
