How many of you would stay in the job you’re in if you could leave and still have a livable wage and healthcare coverage?
I am so lucky to have just started a part-time job that I love. But I realize this is a privilege and it took me 30 years to find it. We as a society do not have the #PursuitOfHappiness we were promised until a #FJG AND until our health insurance isn’t tied to our employer.
stayed at a job because of a health condition that got more serious the longer I stayed. Lose-lose-lose.
Imagine how conditions would change at workplaces to retain workers, as workers were better matched in their jobs, and as employers faced a healthier, wealthier customer base. It is a step toward reimagining work and our economy.
Picked "I would stay", because I love the actual work, but I would certainly use the increased stability to negotiate more favorable terms and time obligations. Crawling through traffic to sit in this noisy office for eight hours benefits absolutely no one.
Currently, I'm a therapist and I make my own hours and decide on my caseload. I would definitely keep the job, because I love it, but would probably have a smaller caseload and fewer hours.
To be fair though, I'd leave my current employer for like $1000 and a kit kat. I dislike them immensely, but can't afford to leave until the new year.
Please don't show this to my boss. I like my boss. I hate my job. 
My employer is better than most in retail, at least in the store I work at. Like many in my home state, however, they're not exactly union friendly, and "right-to-work" is a thing. Not sure if I'd quit but I'd definitely cut my hours back and seek work in activism.
