A huge portion of homeless individuals in our city are children. Keep that in mind please as we discuss how people ended up on the street. Many families are only one emergency away from homelessness, and we need to build a system that prevents this.

Thats an entire different issue when children are involved. But again, giving the parents a house, isn’t going to help the reason why the parents were homeless to begin with. If kids are involved, they need to be place into DHS (as a parent I would never want for my child) 1/2

I think rehabilitation and mental health centers should be set up for those individuals who are willing to get help. Instead of healthcare for all I’d be more likely to support centralized places in major cities, that run at cost or on a non-profit term through gov. funding.
