Decriminalize all drug use. Let’s stop pretending that prison=rehab! Rehab should serve the function of rehab! Prison time leaves people with a criminal record, and ruins chances at economic success after release. Substance use disorder should not be a crime.

Heroin historically has been distributed by criminal factions. Heroin and opioids are both derived from the same plant the poppy. Pharmaceutical companies invest in research to create a super poppy. Fentanyl was the gold mine of this research. Dealers go free amongst the carnage.

to speak on the issue of drugs requires a policy that deals with selling too. Most ppl go to jail for selling and that would go up with use-decriminalization, unless selling was legal too.

Decriminalization means that decriminalization of selling as well. If we addressed the socioeconomic issues that lead people's only economic survival opportunity is selling drugs, while we were dealing with treating addiction as a disease, we wouldn't be ruining lives
