how i keep my apartment warm when we have no heat:
•keep a large pot of water on a low boil
•sporadically run space heater
•candles: they do add the tiniest bit of warmth
•layers, fingerless gloves and a knit hat
•the mustering up of a calm attitude or a close proximity
