1/3 August 6th marks a very dark and complicated day in world history. 74 years ago, we dropped the first Atomic bomb ever and killed ~150k civilians in Hiroshima.

2/3 My family was originally rooted in Hiroshima but had to move to Fukuoka shortly before the bombing in search of employment. Had they not moved, I would have likely never existed.

The sad fact is that the US govt doesn’t really care about third world civilians to this day. Ppl in Syria + Afghanistan far often treated as “collateral damage” when their deaths should pain us just as much as anyone in America.
