... it took my father's death and several personal setbacks (and associated crisis) to get me into therapy. Even with ostensibly "good" insurance, I ended up having to pay out-of-pocket to see somebody who was capable of digging through my defensive bullshit. ... (3/4)

... I'm lucky enough to have the means to do that (and a wonderfully supportive, long-suffering spouse!) Most people aren't so lucky. That needs to change. We owe that to one another. That's but one of many reasons
