My partner called a clinic to ask if they take his insurance. They said yes, so he went. He just received a $600 bill; was out of network. Imagine a single-payer system where these tricks for profit just...disappeared. It can be a reality if we vote for those who support it.

It will only change if people get out if their comfort zones and refuse to accept the status quo.
The status quo is literally killing people. The last thing we should have to consider in a medical emergency is “am I staying in network?” or “will this cause my family to lose our home?”
