1/? One of the things people say most frequently to me is that I’m “too #progressive” or “too #socialist” and maybe I should distance myself from those words and labels if I want to have a chance in #NY12. Here’s an example of why I will continue to fight for my beliefs:

4/? The other week, I went to a doctor for a necessary procedure. I AM insured here, and I left with a $500 bill. If I didn’t have my job and my insurance, I cannot imagine what that bill would have been.

5/? *This* is why I have to work while I campaign, and also why people across the country have to WORK while fighting for their lives. Why else do we often hear of coworkers donating their days off to their colleagues fighting to survive?

6/6 THIS is the difference between socialism and capitalism. One system forces you to still generate a profit for your employer and insurance “provider” while you are trying to live. The other allows you to focus on LIVING.
