If we want money to fix poverty, then we need to direct that money to those who need it. Handing $1000 per month to Warren Buffet with the hopes that it trickles down to those who need it, is precisely the kind of thinking that allows for 554,000 Americans to remain homeless.

Nah, cause you don’t get less M4A if you’re poor. I understand the idea of trickle down economics is appealing but it has never worked and never will, as it DEPENDS on the top 1% using the money to specifically lift people out of poverty instead of the gov just doing it directly.
It is actually the opposite of trickle down, Yang even frequently calls it "trickle up". "from people, communities, and families up" Some of the money may trickle up to Buffet and the gang, but most will be used to cover expenses, as 75% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.
This is not trickle down economics. Putting immediate resources in the hands of people is not money trickling down.

As a motivated constituent adjacent to NY 12, I strongly urge you to look past the false rhetoric promulgated by some on the left and to delve into the actual #Math for yourself. A plan for the basic needs for every US citizen is met and paid by the top 10% is on the table.
This would be a net transfer of trillions per year from the top decile to the bottom 90% which is unprecedented. The median income of NY 12 is $107K and thus would be the payers but the rest of America needs the #FreedomDividend. Please be the progressive that I could support.
