Investigations, subpoenas, and court battles must be implemented, or there are no checks against this unbalanced president, who will continue to obstruct

The House has passed over 400 bills regarding all those subjects and sent them to the Senate. Mitch has refused to let the Senate vote on them. So the House has been working. What has the senate done? Your post should be addressed to Mitch. What is the Senate’s excuse?

Who do you think passed those 400 bills in the HOUSE that are sitting on 's desk? Who worked out the final details of the USMCA and passed it in the HOUSE? Why didn't *45 work on ANY of that?

How about 400 bills the House passed and sent to the Senate, where they gather dust. Brooks even has a research assistant, so how he could tweet something this ridiculous is hard to fathom.

Will somebody ask these Senators what would warrant impeachment? Depending on what they say, their answer may well become useful later this week, month or season.

McConnell-rigged the Senate trial, but a powerful, bipartisan statement was just sent: abused the power of the presidency.

When Trump swears it’s usually at another person. When Mitt Romney swears it’s to the Constitution.

The Trump administration is banning New Yorkers from enrolling or re-enrolling in expedited travel programs like Global Entry. The move is designed to punish NY for its Sanctuary laws protecting undocumented immigrants -- an attempt to pit "us" vs "them."

No one woke up in 1946 thinking “If only we had been more polite to the Nazis. That would have changed everything...” Cut the agonized lamentations over civility. We are facing grave danger. This isn’t a goddamn high tea.

Regardless of your politics, you must admit that this vote by Senator is a profile in courage. Pleased to see Mitt Romney honor our Constitution, the rule of law, and the truth.

Minutes after the GOP voted to acquit our lawless president, stamping out any illusion of checks and balances, the first impeached president in history to seek re-election just tweeted out a video showing him running for president indefinitely. This is truly Orwellian territory.

Of all things to tweet today, our president chooses to mock the Twenty-Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Not funny.

    Today's vote doesn't change this: BRIBERY (18 U.S.C. § 201) SOLICITING FOREIGN CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION (52 U.S.C. §§ 30109, 30121) COERCION OF POLITICAL ACTIVITY (18 U.S.C. § 610) MISAPPROPRIATION OF FED FUNDS (18 U.S.C. § 641) OBSTRUCTION OF CONGRESS (18 U.S.C. §§ 1505, 1512)

An autocratic executive elected with a minority of the vote was just acquitted by a Senate also elected by a minority & a judiciary appointed by two presidents who, you guessed it, were elected by a minority of the vote. It’s safe to say the US no longer qualifies as a democracy.
